SSW has already announced some killa DJs and live acts but we still have some massive names up the proverbial sleeve and we will be announcing these additions shortly.
It’s clear that SSW6 is going to be even bigger than SSW5 after the response to the new venue and the fact that SSW is already being pimped by the press as…
“the natural successor to the Southport Weekender.”
So far we have announced Joey Negro, Fish Go Deep, Soul Sam, John Morales, Al Kent, Funk D’Void, Dr Bob Jones, Frostie, Opolopo, Mike Dunn, M.A.N.D.Y. , Marc Sadane (live), Bobby and Steve, Fitzroy (Soul Survivor), Terry Francis, Steal Vybe, Gareth ‘Maz’ Butterworth, Fingerman, the list is endless and we still have another 45 DJs and live acts to either announce or for you to see on our website.
This is our sixth weekender and it’s fair to say that SSW is NOT going away. SSW is growing each year and jus’ like Southport Weekender back in the day, enjoys a very loyal following from folk that wanna hear the best House and Soul music on the best sound systems that are available. That’s the way we roll at SSW. That’s the festive holidays out of the way and we are busy at SSW HQ adding even mo’ DJs to the line up and folk ‘in the know’ believe this is the best line up at SSW to date.
SSW6 will sell out, so to those of you that have already booked we look forward to seeing you on the dance floor.
Highlights to look forward to at SSW6 are Neil Rushton’s Ritz Special Session, the England Vs Scotland House DJ Battle, Frostie’s Classics Set featuring long lost forgotten Caister, Southport Weekender, Crackers, Goldmine, Barry Island tunes and underplayed joints. Dr Bob Jones & The Educated Jazzmen will be throwin’ down a Jazz session in The Shrine Room and of course we have our surprise guest for the after party… All this and FOUR rooms of serious House, Soul and rare Disco and Modern/Northern nuggets until 7.00am each morning.
