Project Description

As a child Scott was exposed to his parent’s eclectic mix of music ranging from Rock, to Disco and Soul. Later, when the rave scene kicked off, his love for house music began when he started going to all-nighters at the Forum in Livingston with StreetRave, then Raindance in London and World Party in Slough. Although his greatest inspiration came from a trip to Cream where he witnessed Frankie Knuckles’ effortless style.

Around this time he was actively promoting gigs, notably a night at Calton Studios in Edinburgh, where Baby D headlined with ‘Let me be your fantasy’.

Despite spending many hours hidden away with a pair of 1210’s and CD decks, his first chance to play to an audience came when he played at The Twig in Bathgate in 1995.

Prioritising family, he sold his decks and de-commissioned his man-cave to create a bedroom room for his second child.

He rekindled his love for house music when he decided to purchase some decks in 2011 and continued collecting, playing and honing his skills until he joined Trax Radio in May 2015. He then moved to Pure107 in December 2015 where he has a weekly slot with his Groove House Show.

In June 2015, Scott was given the chance to join Foundation in Bathgate as a resident where his style has evolved to Soulful House & Disco and he is honoured to have played alongside some of his DJ heroes including CJ Mackintosh, Joey Negro, Groove Assassin, K-Klass, Twism and Grant Nelson.
